Create the perfect space to enjoy quality time together by adding a covered outdoor kitchen for cooking and dining in any weather or a spa deck for ultimate relaxation. Whether you’re hosting weekend barbecues, celebrating special occasions, or simply unwinding with loved ones, these additions will transform your backyard into a welcoming retreat where great moments are made.

In areas where erosion and water conservation are a concern, rock can be a solution. Rock defines pathways and adds textural visual interest in a landscape. The barrier rock provides can prevent pests from invading. Both mulch and rock help create a sustainable landscape.

Our Process

Initial Meeting

At our initial meeting, we will walk through your yard together and ask questions, take photos and then sit down together for about 30 minutes. We then ask you to talk to us about any or all of your ideas, drawings or photos that have inspired you to take action.

Preliminary Design

This is one of our favorite steps of our collaborative process when we show you our preliminary design. If there are any revisions, they will be done at this time. Next, we will set up the time frame to begin your project. The drawings will be used throughout the entire design and installation, until completion of your landscape vision.

Construction & Completion

With your approved design in hand and our highly skilled team, your project is begun. Our goal during this final step is to complete your project on time and on budget. We are professional landscapers with decades of experience, allowing us to stand behind our work. Your complete satisfaction is our number one priority and we are here for you every step of the way.

“I worked with Chris on a relatively large landscaping project in early 2023. He was helpful in refining the design, timely and responsive, flexible in materials, and something you don’t see very often – on budget. The work was high quality. The suggestions were all great improvements. And the price was more than fair. I’d gladly reach out to Chris for landscaping and consider Harrod Construction for any home improvement project.”

Outdoor Living FAQs

What Do You Call Someone Who Designs Outdoor Spaces?

A landscape designer is a person who plans outdoor environments, including plants, hardscaping, and aesthetics. Landscape architects usually have formal degrees and licenses, enabling them to design complex projects involving grading and drainage. Garden designers design garden layouts and select plants, while hardscape designers specialize in features like patios and walkways. Outdoor living space designers create functional outdoor areas incorporating kitchens, fire pits, and other elements. While these roles overlap, you should ensure the skills of the person you hire align with what you need to accomplish.

How Do I Choose The Right Outdoor Living Contractor For My Project In Paso Robles, CA?

To bring your outdoor living vision to life, you’ll need the right outdoor living contractor. Ask for references from people who have completed similar projects and read the company’s online reviews. Review their portfolios and ensure their style is what you’re looking for. Consult with several contractors to discuss the details of your project. Ask about their process and request a proposal and estimate that outlines their timeline. Trust your gut and hire a landscaping company in Paso Robles, CA, to reliably design and build your outdoor living space the way you want it.

What Are The Benefits Of Working With An Outdoor Living Company?

A reputable company with experience designing and building outdoor features can manage your project while saving you time, money, and stress. They can develop many creative solutions for your space and yard that you enjoy and also increase your property value, which make the changes a worthwhile investment. Working with the right company allows you to relax and enjoy the design and build process, knowing your outdoor space will become a reality.

How Can I Make My Outdoor Space Usable Year-Round In Paso Robles, CA?

How Long Does It Take To Complete An Outdoor Living Project?

A project’s complexity and the availability of materials affect the time involved to complete it. Weather conditions may cause delays. The time it takes to get an approved permit can affect completion time, too. Complex projects take longer than simple ones. A well-planned project with clear communication between the homeowner and contractor establishes realistic expectations. Discuss your project and timeline in advance with your contractor to achieve the results you want.
